            Bug ID: 300261
          Severity: wishlist
           Version: unspecified
          Priority: NOR
          Assignee: kdm-bugs-null@kde.org
Summary: Single click login for users without password
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: Ronny.Standtke@gmx.net
          Hardware: Other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: general
           Product: kdm

I'd like to use KDE in a setup with very young students. The student accounts
don't have a password.
What I would like to accomplish is that students can log in by just clicking on
their picture in the greeters list without the additional hurdle of pressing
Enter to input the (empty) password.

This works fine in the GNOME display manager and even the Microsoft Windows
pendant but I would like to have a pure Linux/KDE environment.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a test user.
2. Delete the password of the user (as root: passwd -d <user>)
3. Try logging in as this user with KDM with a single click on the greeters
list.
Actual Results:
The user is not logged in but has to press Enter/Return to log in.

Expected Results:
Clicking on the passwordless users picture in the greeters list logs in the
user.
