Yes, you got it.

If I do:
$ cd /tmp
$ rm *.kexi
$ kexi
Then I create a New Database from file, leaving the name and the filename as
default, everything works but the file is created in /tmp/, not in /home/$user/
as the dialog shows.
Then, if I close and try to create a New Database from file, leaving the name
and the filename as default, I get the dialog error.
