The bug occurs for me with kvpnc 0.9.6 on openSUSE 11.4 for x86-64.  I'm trying
to make a PPTP connection.  Removing the /root/.kde4/share/config/kvpncrc and
/root/.kde4/share/apps/kvpnrc and configuring the connection from scratch
didn't help.

I am happy to help troubleshoot.
