No, you can always manually check feeds in Akregator. I also never have the
impression that Akregator doesn't check its feeds even when it is preloaded
with the last session. Idk what is different. Maybe it just takes longer to be
started on the whole. 

In my opinion, plasmoids should be sensitive toward the internet connection, or
something else should be worked out so that this problem does not occur. But I
realize this is not a problem of this widget. :-)

So, about the refresh button. Is there anything you could do about that?
