Please do not reopen this, it is NOT a bug, Amarok absolutely doesn't have any
obligation to do like other players.This is a developers decisions.

Seriously, players who jump to the start of the current track when you
explicitly ask for the precious one would drive me nuts. This is a developers
decisions
