Summary: WindowGeometry marks displayed on wrong window before
                    movement
           Product: kwin
           Version: 4.7.2
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: effects-various
        AssignedTo: kwin-bugs-null@kde.org
        ReportedBy: kdebugs@geniusdex.net

Version: 4.7.2 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

I have the WindowGeometry effect enabled and when i press the mouse button to
move a window and don't move the mouse, the marks are displayed. However, if
the window is not moved (no mouse movement or window snapping), the marks are
displayed on the previous window on which they were displayed instead of the
new one. When the new window actually moves, the mark moves to the correct
window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Enable the WindowGeometry effect. Move some window and then click on another
window's title bar to start moving it but don't move yet. Wait until the marks
appear.

More reliable: Instead of waiting to move the second window, use a window
snapped to the screen edge and move the mouse a few pixels so it remains
snapped, causing the marks to appear but not causing the window to actually
move.

Actual Results:
The marks appeared on the last window actually moved.

Expected Results:
The marks should appear on the window to be moved.

I'm using a week-old installation of Kubuntu 11.10 and cannot remember having
the issue earlier (but I'm not entirely sure on that). Window styles etc are
still default.

- Zoom

- Dashboard

- Logout
- Minimize Animation
- Slide
- Sliding Popups
- Taskbar Thumbnails
- Translucency
- WindowGeometry
