In that case, you are highly likely being hit with the leak that was fixed in
4.7.1 and your problem will probably be fixed by updating to that version. I
dunno if can find KDE 4.7.x packages for your current version of the distro you
are using, but that is something you can find out. 

Please update this ticket once you update to the latest stable KDE version.
