This fix depends on new API in Qt 4.8 to work properly. Qt 4.8 is not released
yet and not tested or recommended with KDE 4.7. I can cherry-pick the patch to
the branch, but how well it works when you're using Qt 4.7 may unfortunately
depend on how the font is hinted.
