FWIW, my self-signed certificate was also made for a single part hostname
("atom", which was defined in the /etc/hosts file of the client computer).

So Florent Bondoux's patch may solve the issue.

I didn't test it since I am now using a free CA-signed certificate with a fully
qualified hostname.
