it seems to be a 64bit problem.

i tried the same kstars install on an 32bit 11.04 kubuntu and it worked out of
the box.

olaf - is the SUSE in question 64bit, too? then may be you try on an 32bit /
same version number and have another look.

i don't know much about linux' internal programming - but the error
"stringToLongLong" seems to indicate a wrong format for some variable. which
may point to a 64/32bit issue...
