I've been doing more detailed testing today,
and the result is:
  Konqueror 4.4.5 (u10.04 LTS latest): "Retrieving from <site>..."
  Konqueror 4:4.6.2-0ubuntu1 (u11.04): successfully finishes loading

I should have added the exact OWA version that I'm currently accessing.
The only (rather sorry) version information that I can locate on that web
interface is
(logoff screen)

Since there _is_ a difference between the two Konqueror versions when accessing
this newer OWA installation and the newer Konqueror version does manage to load
it, I guess it's safe to say that the bug seems fixed.
