The valued square valuation need to be switched to another one altogether.  But
the question is, how good do we want to make it?  Othello/reversi is almost(?)
as solved game and the AI can be made frightingly strong so that not even the
world champion can ever hope to beat it. I even have the PhD report where it's
described exactly how to do this.

But would it still be fun?
