Okay, now we are getting somewhere. Yes, please test with the normal internet
connection and see if you can reproduce the problem when you use the webkit
engine. If you cannot, then this issue is KHTML specific and is probably caused
by the bug described at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172966.

If you could you should also test sftp. For example, you enable ssh on your
machine and try to log into it using your own username and see if the password
is saved properly.
