those patches seem to have have reduced the bugs impact, but the memory leaking
issue is still present:

After three days of extensive (lots of changing audio sources) KMix usage the
RAM usage went up to 338 MB.
This is of course *much* better than the previous 700+ MB usage, but still, I
think this is not normal, is it?
