Talked a bit with Marco Martin regarding this and found the following:
1. It doesn't work with the D-Bus command either.
2. It does, however, work if I start from a clean configuration. I tried adding
a few activities, widgets, logout and login again etc. but haven't been able to
reproduce this yet with my new user.
