I just run into the same problem using KDE-4.6. I can hardly read the
information provided in the plasmoids I tried (weather forecast and system
monitor). Newspapers are printed on paper and not on plastic foil for a reason
- readability!
How can this be RESOLVED WONTFIX when there are no themes *WITHOUT*
transparency provided per default so that a mortal user even has a chance of
changing the setting?
