Summary: kwin resets window maximized state when moving
           Product: kwin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwin-bugs-null@kde.org
        ReportedBy: dimsuz@gmail.com

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.4)
OS: Linux

I'm not sure if this is a bug or some weird feature, but I consider it a bug,
because it feels really unintuitive.

If I move a maximized window it gets restored and then moved. This feels really
uncomfortable - I'd suspect that I can't move maximized windows. Especially
considering the fact that sometimes this happens not intentially.

And it feels even more weird after Oxygen style introduced that "move window by
dragging at any point inside" feature :) Sometimes I'm making some selection
and suddenly miss the target and apply movement to an empty space of the window
(which is maximized). Instantly it jumps to restored state and gets moved, this
really gives me a couple of WTFs every time i see it :) I.e. my workflow is
broken: i was doing some particular stuff and now I need to do something quite
unrelated (stop dragging and restore window's maximized state) to continue
working.

AFAIK some time earlier this wasn't the default behavior - on the contrary,
KWin refused to move maximized windows which was just ok.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Maximize Window
2. Drag its title

Actual Results:
Window gets resized to restored state and then moved

Expected Results:
Window doesn't move
