Sorry, I don't understand what do you mean.

To debug your cmd-line tool you have two options:
- launch it from your own terminal and then attach to running process
- configure launch settings to launch the application in the new terminal
window (command, arguments, working dir, environment etc are customizable)

In case you have some non-trivial launch process or whatever you can use the
first way.
