As far as I remember this discussion, the problem was linked to my icons being
(extremely) small: I use 16 for all icons, except desktop and this patch fixed
all applications *except* Kate! That's why I openened bug 204796, but nobody's
listening there... I can set icons to default in KAte, which makes them small
(16x16) as I want, but after closing Kate and reopening it resorts back to
medium (22x22), see comment #20. The difference now is that Kate doesn't think
it displays default, but knowingly puts it back to 22x22 before my eyes.
