Summary: Usability issues with connection list and tray menu
           Product: knetworkmanager
           Version: 0.9
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: wstephenson@kde.org
        ReportedBy: spillner@kde.org

Version: 0.9 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

After briefly using this tool, I've found two issues related to the interaction
with active and obsolete connections. In the tray menu, I can switch between a
manually created wired connection profile and some "auto eth0" profile (which
apparently tries to use DHCP but doesn't have a profile entry). However,
there's no way to switch off a wired connection again. Shouldn't the
deactivation of a network connection also be part of the tray menu?

Second, in the list of wireless connections I find old networks listed which
after moving with the notebook don't exist anymore. Yet, they're given with
their previous signal strength, it is not updated to zero. Only when I restart
knetworkmanager I get the same network with unspecified signal strength.

Reproducible: Always
