https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258978 Summary: KNetworkManager doesn't find hidden-SSID networks Product: knetworkmanager Version: 0.9 Platform: Debian testing OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: wstephenson@kde.org ReportedBy: spillner@kde.org Version: 0.9 (using KDE 4.4.5) OS: Linux I've manually configured a wireless connection to SSID Foobar which is not shown in the list of connections by default. It then appears in the connection list as "insecure" network with unspecified signal strength despite being a WPA2 connection with good signal. It does not appear in the list of configured profiles in the tray menu and therefore cannot be activated. So it seems to me that hidden-SSID networks are not supported and I need to continue using my handcrafted wpa_supplicant wrapper script with scan_ssid=1 :( Reproducible: Didn't try -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
