Yes it is. The password is stored inside an encrypted wallet so that no one but
you can make use of it. To make the wireless work without entering a password,
you can change the wallet's password to an empty one.

I'm closing this bug. The wishlist item for using pam-supplied data for opening
the wallet (thus auto-opening and being somewhat secure at the same time) is
bug 92845.
