Sorry, correction:
     was listed as "disconnected" by loadSettings()
should have been
     was listed as "disconnected" by queryOutputInfo()
I wonder if that is the right place to do the patch---just free the crtc of any
disconnected output? Or does this get called even if the user wiggles the cable
and the status changes transiently?
