Same thing happens on openSUSE 11.3 just updated to 4.5. In 4.4 ir worked fine.

I just don't get one thing, why at all panel is going to be moved, if the
screen is gone? The best solution, i think, is just to leave them as they
where. If the screen with panel is removed, there is no need to change
anything, panel disappears, and , even more importantly, next time external
display is connected, it is placed, where it should be :)Same thing happens on
