Ok, the error is in which project is selected.

I right click on the dwPlasmoid and tell it to install, and it does not
install.

I then closed another project that I had open (happened to be the same type of
template just from a way older version of kdevelop)

I stopped getting the error.

So the error is that kdevelop doesn't know which project it is building, or it
gives inproper indication of what it is going to do.
