I definitely didn't experience the problem in 4.3.4; to me this looks like a
regression in 4.4 that still exists in 4.4.4. A different Linux box connecting
to the same server but with Ubuntu packages exhibits the same behaviour (also
starting when the client was updated to KDE 4.4), so I assume this isn't a
problem with the distributor.
