unable to get a printed paper with plugin "print assistant" 

In addition: pdf and ps files produced by print assistant are also NOT
printable (but can be viewed in okular)

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
gwenview/ plugins / images / print assistant ... 

Actual Results:  
mounting of the print works fine, final printer dialog "print" starts printer
(warm up) but does not print (printer works fine with other apps).
CUPS (browser) lists jobs as completed but with unknown name and pages and
correct size.


OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.12-0.2-desktop
