I'm testing qt 4.7/KDE 4.5 Beta 1 (Kubuntu lucid experimental) and it appears
to be fixed in this - no crashes at all connecting/disconnecton to a windows
VPN.

However, in case any one is tempted to swicth to the kubuntu experimental repo
-  the beta itself is very flaky :)
