That's quite possible, since the symptoms are quite similar. Using terminology
form example in bug 185103:
Say I have a terminal on screen VGA (on the left) and everything else on screen
LVDS (on the right). Turning off VGA via xrandr --output VGA --off should move
the terminal from that screen to LVDS(right) and keep everything else on LVDS
(right). That doesn't happen. Instead, terminal moves to LVDS (that's ok), but
everything else moves far beyond right screen edge, so it's unreachable.
Bug 189277 describes exactly the same case as mine.
