Happening for me now with 4.4.2 packages from Kubuntu 10.4.  Wasn't happening
in 4.2.2 (Kubuntu 9.10).

I don't think it's a silent crash because the krunner application is still
running according to ps.  If I killall krunner and restart from the terminal or
launcher menu, it works again for a while.

It happened to me twice since I upgraded yesterday.  Seems to be after some
period of desktop inactivity, but I'm not sure about that.
