At least device notifier is keyboard navigable since 4.4 -- very cool!  (I
didn't try other popups yet). A remaining thing is giving them focus on request
without the need to use the mouse. E.g. when I insert an SD card and device
notifier (or any other notification item) pops up, I would like to press a
shortcut so that the notification becomes focused.

That would be a request for kwin I guess, so I'm reassigning this.
