Please do the following (as I can't reproduce this here):

- run kdebugdialog
- search for kdevplatform and enable the item with "kdevplatform (shell)"
- start kdevelop from a terminal and use "kdevelop >debug.out 2>&1"
- reproduce the crash
- attach the debug.out file to this bugreport

Also can you double-check wether you have only a single kdevcmakemanger.desktop
on your system and if there are multiple that all of them have the
X-KDevelop-LoadMode line?
