Summary: Usability: Show some kind of "busy" marker while the
                    KIO slave is working
           Product: dolphin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: unspecified
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: peter.penz@gmx.at
        ReportedBy: ralfjung-e@gmx.de

Version: Dolphin 1.3 (using KDE 4.3.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

There are some cases where the KIO slaves needs some time before it can display
the content of a folder, e.g. opening a remote SSH/FTP folder while the
internet connection or the server is under heavy load, or opening a really
large compressed file. With Dolphin 1.3 as shipped with KDE 4.3.5, I can not
see any sign in the GUI that something is still working in the background - I
just see an empty folder. This is especially problematic as it could be that
the folder *is* indeed empty, and there is no way to tell whether the KIO slave
is sill collecting data or not.

So it would be great to have something somewhere in the GUI showing whether KIO
is done or not. I remember a spinning gear (or was it a K? Not sure anymore)
back in KDE 3 with Konqueror, which perfectly did the job. Plasma also has a
nice "busy" animation.
