i noticed following visual glitch for the 4.4 release:

with the new kde 4.4 wallpaper (squares) you nearly can't see/notice the
default blue windows glow of the active windows, because both are the same type
of blue.

i noticed because i was always thinking , if i disabled the desktop effects,
but did not :)

if you change the background every release, please also think if its good to
adjust the default windows glow of the active window.

if you move the windows over one another, the glow get visible again.
