Summary: logout dialog unresponsive while fading desktop in or
out
Product: systemsettings
Version: unspecified
Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_ksmserver
AssignedTo: l.lunak@kde.org
ReportedBy: pogonyshev@gmx.net
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
When pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring in Logout dialog, the desktop is "faded
away" during maybe 2 seconds. In this time, key presses have no effect. In
the same vein, after selecting an option, desktop is "faded in" and (judging by
HD sounds only, cannot say decisively) logout is not initiated until fade in is
complete.
This is only true if desktop effects are enabled.
Fade in/out should be a background activity, so that after pressing
Ctrl-Alt-Del I can immediatly interact with Logout dialog and not wait for
niceties.
(Not sure if I chose correct application.)
