The decision was completely correct because we don't want to have half-finished
plugins in our release. You may not agree to that decision of course, that
doesn't change the facts though.

Well, our (as in the people who work on KDevelop) decision was and is that we
consider KDevelop4 a completely new project that never existed before in this
regard. We do plan to port some of the features from kdevelop3, but certainly
not all.
