I have AC3/DTS (a52 libs and codecs) and SPDIF support. As a test to confirm,
running mplayer from command line forcing hwac3 (mplayer test.avi -ao
alsa:device=spdif -ac hwac3) plays supported .avi files using AC3/DTS audio
passed through SPDIF.

That function does not work in 1.0-pre2 (but it does superbly in 0.8.7). I do
not see any SETTINGS menu available to tweak the options.

Should I try to tweak the config file, please provide folder in which it is
located.

Backend is XINE.
Distro is openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 7 KDE4.3.1.
