The application currently does not allow you to modify/enter transactions
within an income/expense account (called category). To modify an existing
transaction, simply open the context menu reachable via right mouse button and
select 'Goto ACCOUNT'. From there you can edit the transaction.

You might have created a new category. Creating a new account should allow you
to enter transactions without any problem.

In general, transactions are entered through the asset and liability accounts
and not the categories.

Just in case you don't have any of these, something went completely wrong with
your import. I have no idea how Equonomize writes its QIF files.
