i assume you experience similar mouse behaviour as described in the SS of
#198715 ?
that shot looks like a false mask was applied to the window (decos /usually/ do
that, though irritatingly the mask on VB seems to be rounded while the deco has
no round corners)

a) is the deco supposed to have round corners?
b) does changing the deco help
c) this is just a shot in the dark, but as VB might mess around with
fullscreens
-> try "UnredirectFullscreen=false" in ~/.kde/share/config/kwinrc,
[Compositing], then (shutdown any VB in case and to be sure...) "qdbus
org.kde.kwin /KWin reconfigure" restart VB. anything different?

another idea was that this is related to the "KWin does freaky stuff on XRandR"
bug 180994 (anyone any insight in what VB does on seamless mode toggles?)
