Summary: applications must access files with kioslaves to stay
                    in kde tree
           Product: kde
           Version: 4.2.4
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs@kde.org
        ReportedBy: picander78@yahoo.it

Version: (using KDE 4.2.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

One of the strong points of kde is kioslave file access (copy from a ftp to an
ssh session, from an http to a ftp and so on).

Many application in kde tree still don't use kio for file read/write. I.e.
kwalletmanager import/export, kdiff and so on.
I think an application which doesn't coherently integrate in kde should be
updated or deleted from tree.
