With compiz it is possible to set the opacity of the cube compositing effect
when NOT rotating the cube. Therefore you can see through the cube and see
windows in other workspaces from behind or the sides and also see the skydome.

This opacity function gives a nice perspective to the eye, but unfortunately is
not available in KWin's cube effect.
