KLineEdit (single-line text edit) do not have spell checking capabilities, but
KTextEdit (multiline) has them.
There are two reports about this issue: bug 71643 / bug 129926.

I lack some knowledge to try to implement that on KLineEdit (kdeui@kdelibs)

About the Details' KTextEdit, how it doesn't work ? Does the spell options
appear? Does the red underline appear? Does the option to manual spellcheck
appear and works? What is your spellchecking lang ?
