I use a vertical bar in plasma situated at the right hand side of my
(wide-)screen laptop.

If I add a lancelot launcher widget to it, the launcher seems to occupy a much
larger part of the bar than it needs to. 

Basically there is a large vertical blank area about 5-6cm high with the
lancelot icon sitting centred in the middle of it. This looks rather ugly, so I
stick with the "standard" KDE application launcher which does not have this
problem.
