Can anyone still reproduce this problem in KDE 4.2.0 or later? At least a part
of bug 169016 (which was a similar issue, about Dolphin always opening in the
Documents folder) has seen a fix before the 4.2.0 release.

I can't reproduce this in 4.2.1 (Kubuntu) and trunk rev. 945036: If I run
Dolphin, my home folder is opened, and changing the startup location to a
subdirectory of my home folder works as expected.
