I've also been missing this feature for years and was hoping it would show up
in 4.x, especially with the various new switching effects which would be much
more useful when mapped to mouse buttons. A useful workaround for now is
xbindkeys, which can map at least some mouse buttons to custom keyboard
shortcuts, but I really think KDE should allow us to configure mouse buttons
just like any other keyboard shortcuts (after all, the keyboard configuration
system is one of the great things about KDE).
