I'm not sure, but I think the seamless mode also has problems on Windows now
and then.

Maybe you could try with metacity instead of kwin, to be sure it is no
virtualbox bug?
Seamless mode also has been improved a lot with the latest virtualbox version
(I think it was 2.1.0).
