what you describe has nothing to do with this bug.

completely harmless debug output.

sounds like the plasmarc (not plasma-appletsrc) isn't getting saved out with
the proper values? not that that has anything to do with this actual bug. maybe
find me on irc sometime and we can look at the config files together.
