I tested with my Nvidia 7800 GTX,  180.6 beta driver, KDE 4.2 (unstable
repository from SuSE)   , Opensuse 11.0 and several GTK dependent applications
- including Openoffice, Firefox and VMware workstation 6 (especially with the
latter the artefacts on the taskbars appeared in large scale and very
frequently) .

All the artefacts seem to be gone with the new beta driver. In addition
previous severe problems of Konqueror with displaying transparent or
semi-opaque objects (e.g. DIVs) on web pages have disappeared completely.
