I removed plasma-appletsrc and restarted plasma. Then I added the lancelot
widget and removed the normal menu widget. As new widgets always get's created
to the right *), I then moved the widget to the left.

And when I now click on the left widget, the menu opens on the right side of
the screen (see attached screenshot).

This is, btw, no Lancelot problem. When I remove lancelot and add a classic
menu widget, the same happens.
