I've installed KDE 4.1.2 and was able to activate it (without any tricks
mentioned above)by using 'texture from pixmap' method. 
So the problem seems to be fixed.

It still doesn't work with 'fallback' and 'shared memory' methods, the screen
gets messy but there is no hang at least.
The strange thing, XRender stop working, but it's a problem for another bug
report.

I'm closing the bug for now. Thank you.
